Monster Movie Trivia Games
Monster Movie Trivia Games
Test how well your friends know scary movies by creating your own Movie Trivia games about monsters / villains or scary movie facts. We suggest you focus on one topic per game and then decide if you will do a matching, fill in the blank, place in order or multiple choice game.
Matching Trivia Games
Monsters / Villains make for great matching games where you list the movies on one side using numbers and other side of the page you list the monsters using letters. The person with the most correct answer wins. Have a tie breaker question just in case. Example: How many Halloween Movies have there been?:
Michael Myers = Halloween
Freddy Kruger = Nightmare on Elm Street
Hannibal Lechter = Silence of the Lambs
Jigsaw = Saw
and so on….
Fill in the Blank Monster Trivia
If you are choosing a fill in the blank trivia game, ask questions involving who was the monster in, who was the director, what year was the horror classic released or give a scene reference and have them identify the movie. Person with the most correct answers wins the game.
Examples:
a. Who was Batman’s arch enemy in The Dark Knight? The Joker
b. Who directed the original Psycho? Alfred Hitchcock
c. The classic Halloween was released in what year? 1978 Or more recent use The first Saw movie? 2004
d. Give a scene: It is a warm evening and perfect for a summer swim in the ocean, but for this skinny dipping teen it will be her last? Jaws
Place in Chronological Order Trivia Game
These are always intriguing as you ask your guests to identify the correct order that the movies came out. Group together themes of movies like classic horror, silly scary movies, sequels, etc…
We recommend that you have 12 – 15 of these questions and in order to get a point. Most correct wins.
Examples:
Which sequel series came first? Nightmare on Elm Street, Halloween, Friday the 13th, Scream
Which funny scary movies came first? Ghostbusters, Scary Movie, Army of Darkness, Shaun of the Dead
Which Hitchcock movie came first? Rear Window, Vertigo, The Birds, Psycho
Multiple Choice Trivia Games
And last you can do a Halloween Movie Trivia game where there is multiple choice? This is better for younger kids who may not know all the trivia facts, just adjust the questions to match your audience. You can basically adjust any of the questions above to be multiple choice questions. Once everyone completes the game, score the results and the guest who has the most correct wins.
