Halloween CostumesHalloween is months away but the Halloween costume trends for this year are quickly emerging and greatly influenced by Summers biggest movies. Last year's biggest costumes like Lady Gaga, Alice in Wonderland and Iron Man while still popular have lost some of their luster, however a new bunch of Halloween costumes are ready to take there place. Summer Blockbusters and ongoing movie sagas will lead the Halloween costume list this year. Harry Potter, Lord Voldemort, Captain America, Thor, Green Lantern, Pirates of the Caribbean, Transformers, Winnie the Pooh, Cars 2 and Angry Birds costumes will join traditional costumes like Witches, Ghosts, Princesses, Pirates and Animals come Halloween night.  Adult and teen costumes trends will evolve around pop culture between now and Halloween. However, Lady Gaga and Jersey Shore costumes that ruled Halloween 2010 are not making a splash this Halloween; lack of new iconic looks and overload means they are out for 2011. For creative DIY, do it yourself, Halloween costumes expect to see packs of Bridesmaids, Amy Winehouse (RIP) and Katy Perry. The Royal Wedding will result in several vary cute William & Kate couples on Halloween. This will also be the Year of the Angry Birds Halloween so be prepared to see swarms of these unhappy characters in your neighborhood. As we get closer to Halloween we are seeing aomw last minute emerging costumes, The Lion King's Simba and Nala are looking more popular as the re-launch of this classic has stirred up interest. FYI - Simba and Nala costumes are in limited supply, because few expected the movie to be as successful as it has been. Also there is growing interest in Muppet costumes, with a Muppets movie come out in November we expect to see an uptick in Kermit, Miss Piggy and other Muppet costumes.
