Bachelorette party themes can range from Silly & Fun, Relaxation, Wild & Crazy or Chippendales type of event, but behind every event is the goal of a good time.
We have pulled together a variety of Bachelorette Party Ideas, so you can plan the perfect event for the bride to be. Best of all is you can combine ideas together so you can have a truly unique event that the bachelorette and her besties can enjoy.
Bachelorette Party Ideas & Themes
These ideas and themes are a great starting point for ideas and a catalyst for a great event. Let’s get started.
Spa & Relaxation Bachelorette Party
Girls day out, plan a relaxing day at a spa and have massages, manicures, pedicures, facials, etc… Talk about guys, take Cosmo quizzes, or play any number of games. Porn or Polish, I Never, Drink If, or Who Knows the Bachelorette.
Add wine & cheese and you are set.
Can’t afford to all go out to a Spa, then bring the Spa to your house and do a diy spa event. Easy fun and relaxing.
Karaoke Night
Want an interesting night whether at home or out on the town, then consider Karaoke. Some of the best nights I can remember were on Karaoke night, when all my friends sang together on stage. Yes, karaoke is silly, embarrassing and fun. And who cares if you can sing or not, all your friends will be there to support you no matter what.
Comedy Night
There are a few options with this one, head out to the local comedy club to catch a comedian, a hypnotist, or go to an Improv show and maybe be part of the show or play Improv game or dirty charades and have your guests be the comedians / entertainment. We like this idea because the focus is on laughter, fun and less on drinking.
To Do List – Bachelorette Party
Ladies put your heads together and come up with a List of 20 things for the Bride to Be to do that night. Offer wonderful prize or surprise if she gets them all down!
The To Do List can be something simple, odd or a challenge
Give a Dollar to a Stranger or Have a Stranger Give you a Dollar
To Get 20 Guys to Sign Your Shirt
To Find a guy with a Condom and have him give it up.
Based on the Bride this can be a safe or a wild list, just have fun.
Variation on this theme: Scavenger Hunt
Instead of a To Do list the Scavenger Hunt List is a list of items she must collect during the night. These printable bachelorette games might work for your event.
Dare Bachelorette Party
This is similar to the To Do list but it is but involves Dare. The bride can either Take a Dare or Take the Consequences.
Dare Ideas:
Give a guy a lap dance or Have a guy give a lap dance to the bride
Get a guy to put on red lipstick and give you a Kiss on the cheek
Get a hot guy to give up his boxers or briefs!
Consequences
Do a shot
She must wear a penis tiara or some other crazy bachelorette attire
Come up with some other embarrassing ideas.
Chippendale’s Night
This is where the ladies head to a male review, gay bar with strippers or hire a male stripper for entertainment.
A Male review can be fun because you can watch everything and be a safe distance or in the middle of the action. Know your bachelorette and either get her up front or let her hang back. Check to see about private dance or getting her on stage, before you go.
Gay Bar with male strippers. Some gay bars are very open to bachelorette parties others find them to be an annoyance. However in many cases a few of the strippers are straight and they enjoy bachelorette parties. Plus the guys tend to dance on a stage or platform so there are a lot of things to look at. In many cases this tends to be a nice safe atmosphere. Make sure that you remember to tip the dancer, that are working and if you enjoy their performance tip them.
Male Stripper
Hired male strippers tend to be very sexual and get very close. There is no denying what they are packing and they often wear very little. Unless you know the male dancer, we suggest you hire from a known company. Need more info: Should I Hire a Male Stripper – Pros & Cons
Lingerie / Sex Toy – Passion Party
This bachelorette party is more like an adult slumber party and focuses on lingerie and items for the honeymoon, talking about sex, trade secrets and reviewing sex toys and or items that enhance sex.
Sometimes you can have sex toys – passion party representative come and do a presentation of what is popular a fun! And they do it for free! Fun games for this bachelorette party idea includes Never Have I Ever, Porn or Polish, Naughty Drink If
Night on the Town
Plan for a fun and adventurous Night on the Town by going to all the best clubs in town in style. Hire a Limo, so no one has to drive and call ahead to all the clubs you plan to visit and see if you can get a group discount or skip the cover charge. Often many clubs will have VIP sections or rooms, so if you want a male stripper to perform he can!
If you are going bar / club hopping consider the different dare games shown about and even Bachelorette Dare Bingo. These dares and challenges make each bar a new adventure.
Great Outdoor Adventure
Get out of the big city and go natural. Sometimes the best adventure is getting away from it all. Consider renting a cabin and going hiking, white water rafting, biking, canoeing, glamping or just hanging out underneath the stars.
This type of adventure my not be for everyone, but if your bride-to-be loves the outdoors this will be a trip to remember.
Fun & Games Night
Not old enough to drink or don’t want drunk guys hitting on you.
Well choose a place where you can go and get food and play fun carnival type games or go bowling, ice skating, mini-golf, go-kart racing or roller skating.
Silly yes, but also fun as everyone can play skeet ball, whack a mole and other games to earn tickets to get the a bride a memorable prize.
60’s, 70’s, 80’s or 90’s or NYE 2000 Night
Add a theme to your going out, by dressing in the style of the 60’s, 70’s or 80’s, or 90’s. By adding a theme you help create great photo ops, have a unique and fun look, and start the evening off with a laugh as you check out what everyone is wearing.
Bachelorette Luau Party / Beach Party
Stay in and have informative Beach / Luau party. Have guests wear sarongs, beach clothing, then add Tiki torches, tropical frozen drinks and island decorations to set the stage.
You can do limbo or a ukulele sing-a-long for entertainment. Add in bachelorette party games like Who Knows the Bachelorette, Dirty Charades, and you’ll have a great party.
Fortune Teller / Tarot Card Reading
Fortune telling and card readings can make a bachelorette party very interesting as each guest gets a reading. Plan in advance for this event and get someone you know or comes highly recommended, then work a deal.
The only downside to this event is if bad news is shared or something comes up about the groom.
Mind, Body & Soul
If your bride-to-be is into yoga, nature, and exercise consider a Mind, Body & Soul bachelorette event where do things that inspire and bring peace. Consider bird watching, kayaking, paddle-boarding, yoga, hot stone massage, go hiking but the goal is to take inspirational photos of flowers, animals, waterfalls and nature, read poetry and just relax sharing positive energy.
Volunteer & Give Back Bachelorette Party
A newer theme, that we are hearing about more often is the give back / charity bachelorette parties. The idea is simple, before you celebrate give back and in a way share your good fortune. Spend a morning at Habitat for Humanity, work in a food kitchen, ask a charity if their a special project you and your friends can help with – painting rooms, helping kids by reading stories, fixing things and so on.
This giving back idea is a growing trend, just plan ahead and try to work with a charity / organization that is important to the bride-to-be. The memories you make and what you leave behind can change lives.
Get Cooking – Hire a Chef
Cooking can be fun and sexy. In many cities, you can book private cooking classes that allows everyone to cook up a delicious meal. If you have a large kitchen, you might be able to hire a chef to come to the host’s house and teach the bride-to-be to cook up a romantic dinner. They can also cook the meal for the bachelorette party too! It never hurts to learn cooking tips from a professional.
Sleepover Bachelorette Event
Remember sleepover parties, cosmo quizzes, romantic movies, pillow fights, talking about boys, doing each others nails, and being told to “Go to sleep!”
Well turn your memories of a sleepover into your Bachelorette party theme. While this is a little low key you can up the ante with a mix of different games like Stud or Dud, My Man Wears – a Boxers / Briefs game, Never have I Ever, Movie Love Quotes, Famous Couples, Stick It and more.
Tutus & Heels
This is more of a costume theme for your group rather than just an activity theme. Have everyone in your group wear tutus and stunning high heels. Take this theme to the next level by have everyone strike a pose or do a dance when a word or song or artist is played during the night.
Color Runs / Tough Mudders / Iron Women Theme
For the bride-to-be into fitness consider a color run, tough mudder or themed race for the bachelorette party event. Go as a team to the event dressed in the same outfits, tutus or with veils so everyone knows you are a team. For the gal into fitness, this might be the perfect way for the bride-to-be to celebrate with her friends.
Western Theme
Dress in cowboy hats, pink bandannas, and head to a country bar for square, line and fine dancing. For extra fun have everyone talk in their favorite country accent! You may not be able to ride a cowboy, but you might be to check in advance and see if they have a mechanical bull that the bachelorette can ride.
The Event Bachelorette Party
Base your Bachelorette party around any one of these fantastic events.
Go see a Broadway Show / Musical / Theater / Concert
Attend a Music Festival or EDC event, makes for a special weekend
Painting / Art Inspired
Choose from a variety of art inspired activities like wine & paint studios, pottery painting studio, jewelry making studios, glass blowing and there are more but you do need to plan in advance to get creative.
Fixer Upper – Handywoman – Trading Spaces
Does she link to fix things up, distress furniture, re-purpose items well consider making or creating or painting furniture, making over a room. You can also see if Home Depot offers any classes fixing things around the house and or diy projects. Basically, this is about creating something new or making something over.
We could continue to list 100 more themes or ideas, but when it comes down to it the success of the Bachelorette party is determined by the bride-to-be and her girlfriends having a fantastic time.
Use one of the Bachelorette party themes listed above or just think of something that inspires or makes the bride-to-be happy!
